LOCATION Ballybough
WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time Permanent -**Apply on the website**.5 hours

REPORTS TO: Youth Service Manager
SALARY: Circa **Apply on the website**K
ROLE PURPOSE: To deliver youth programmes, focused on young people
under **Apply on the website** years of age as identified by the
Service.
THE ROLE:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To assist in the set up of the Under **Apply on the website**
Service in Ballybough
* To oversee the development of a needs based, developmental
programme provision in the Service in consultation with the part time
workers
* To implement programmes in line within funding requirements
* To spend **Apply on the website**% of working hours in direct
contact with young people under **Apply on the website**, with an
emphasis on disadvantaged young people
* To work a minimum of three nights per week and weekends.
* If required, to organise residentials as part of the programme
* To supervise part-time staff and volunteers
* To develop strong working partnerships with statutory & voluntary
groups in the area and work in partnership with them.
* To link with parents of young people involved in the Service
* To attend and participate at staff meetings within the Service
* To represent the Youth Service, when requested, at various
committees
* Oversee summer programmes and other mid-term, seasonal events and
liaise with other community groups in this regard
* To submit all paperwork within specified time period
* To apply for relevant grants related to ongoing work, in
consultation with your Line Manager
* To work within the ethos and values of Crosscare
* To implement the Crosscare Strategy
* To attend training relevant to the work
* To manage challenging behaviours and situations
* To work in collaboration with a team
* To carry out any other duties assigned by your line manager
THE HOLDER:
(QUALIFICATION/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS)
REQUIREMENTS:
* Third Level Qualification in Social Care, Community & Youth Work or
equivalent and a minimum of 5 years experience within this sector.
